Must Read!!

I've had the opportunity to read Keeley's Fight twice now, first as a beta reader and then again as an ARC reviewer after a few changes were made and let me tell you... If I thought I loved it the first time I read it, I freaking LOVED it the second time around.
Menage romances are always hit or miss with me and for that reason alone I don't tend to read them often. I know I'm in the minority here but M/M romances just don't do it for me so when menage's have as much going on between the heroes as well as with the heroine I tend to lose interest, not to mention the fact that it starts to feel more like a love triangle to me with the heroes having feelings for each other as well as the heroine... If that makes sense?! Anyway, when I read the note in the blurb for Keeley's Fight, the fact that there's no touching between the heroes, I knew this is one that I had to read and I'm so glad that I did.
Reading the prologue, my heart broke for little Keeley and I couldn't wait for Nathaniel and Tyler to come in and sweep her off of her feet. And of course, Nate and Ty are hooked on Keeley from the get-go and vow to do everything in their power to make her feel safe and loved.
Having been brought up without love and fearing the two people in the world who are supposed to protect you, Keeley was a little wary of Nate and Ty at first but I loved how she slowly started to come into her own around them. The fact that Nate and Ty were alpha male when they needed to be but each had their own personalities really helped me to understand what it was about those two that brought her out of her shell.
And let me tell you, the sexy times between Keeley, Nate, and Ty... Whew! I definitely thought my Kindle might burst into flames from the hotness on more than one occasion. But I think what really set this one apart is the intimacy between them... Sure, they can burn it up between the sheets, but the fact that Nate and Ty can come together to take care of Keeley how she needs to be taken care of? You can feel the brotherly love between them as well as the love they feel for Keeley and it makes it that much sweeter.
I could probably go on and on about my love for this book and these characters but instead I'll just say this... Whether you're into menage romances or not, this is one that needs to be read! And now that I've finished with it, I'll be anxiously awaiting the release of the next book in this series.

Debut done right!

Ms. Donn has written an interesting debut book about ménage. Keeley is a tragic heroine having suffered abuse from virtually everyone from her parents to employers for the twenty years of her life. She is wounded in body and soul to the extent that she doesn't feel worthy of kindness and doesn't know how to handle it when it comes her way. And it surely does come from two handsome, protective men, Nathaniel and Tyler, who love Keeley on sight.
They were brought up in a ménage home and have worked toward that for themselves. Their kindness, caring and love are the keys to unlocking the chains that have bound Keeley all her life. Their wish for "three lives and one love" might be closer than they thought.
The storyline is riveting and the characters are realistic, but the plot needs a bit of finessing as does the writing style. For example, the stalker plot line is not fleshed out and just fell off the map unfinished. Some of the dialogue comes across as forced or stilted. Unfortunately there are also quite a few grammatical errors that take away from the flow as well.
That said, this is a relevant topic, bullying and abuse, and for a first book, it is nicely done. This author shows a lot of potential and I look forward to subsequent books by her.

COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

Ok, Keeley's Fight - I read the sample of this book and thought I'd buy it because I love a good MFM story. Having read some of the best, Colter's Woman by Maya Banks for one, I was prepared to read a really good story - I didn't get one. The theme of the abused, sweet girl who is rescued by two hot guys looking for "the one" to complete them is a very good starting point and one that is used quite often in MFM. In this story we have poor abused Keely who is savaged from a young age by her awful parents. After the death of her brutal and drug addicted mother, Keely is left to be further abused by her drunken vicious father. She is now in her early twenties and is still allowing her father to hit and terrorize her on a daily basis. I guess I can understand the brain washing effect of constant abuse has made her brain dead, but she was working for abusive employers at a diner and getting brutalized at home as well - time to run Keely, time to run. Enter Nathaniel and his brother Tyler. These guys were former Marines now running a security agency and their mom, who has two husbands, suggests they go to this diner where they have noticed the beautiful, sad Keely and feels she is just what they need. Voila, they go there, meet Keely, instantly want her, rescue her and take her home. The story goes downhill from here. Keely needs counseling in the worst way and as soon as she comes home with Nathaniel and Tyler, they sex her up but good. A crazy ex one night stand comes to the house and kicks the s*** out of Keely. The brothers patch her up at home - no hospital visit. The instant progression of their romance left me feeling empty. There were great bones to this story but no meat was on them. Ms. Donn has to write better, paint a better picture of events and infuse them with more color, more feeling, more everything. The latter part of this book read like a group of ideas that just were not fleshed out enough to make the romance between these three believable. When her father shows up at their house without any preamble - how did he find her, where was the scene where he's looking for her and decides to get his twisted revenge? The supporting characters were one dimensional fillers that did not make me want to know anything more about them. The concept of this story works, I have read many like it before that still are memorable. This one I have already forgotten.
