Dr. Martin W. Ball, Ph.D. is an independent author, musician, visionary artist, and entheogenic researcher. He has authored over fourteen books on the topic of entheogens and spiritual experience, including both fiction and non-fiction. Interesting and Inspiring

The book was interesting all the way through. Very well written except for just a couple of typos and grammatical errors. One of the author's previous books, Mushroom Wisdom, had awful spelling, grammar, and composition; this book contains and explanation as to why that happened.

The subject of the book is basically that we are all unified in consciousness and the author describes his journey to that enlightened state, using a variety of entheogenic substances, finally arriving at 5-MeO-DMT as his substance of choice. Just to let anyone reading this know: 5-MeO-DMT is NOT, I repeat NOT, the same as DMT!! Do your research if you intend on experimenting with these substances. There is a "friend" of mine that used 5-MeO-DMT and it was a horrific experience.

Machined perfection.

That's a phrase I like to use when I encounter something I really like. Something that is built with great care and built to last. I think this authors work is the closest anyone has gotten to the truth on some rather profound matters.

In the interest of full disclosure I have met the author once, and we talk online now and then. Meeting him was an utterly overwhelming experience. I have never met anyone quite so, energetic.

This book is the current end result of years of work with hallucinogenic substances paired with logical thought. An unfortunately rare thing as most who work with hallucinogens tend to go barreling down all manner of rabbit holes.

Unfortunately this is not a book for everyone, many people will not get it. Most people are still hung up in their various egoic constructs. Trying to make a world that is all straight lines, but the world doesn't exist in straight lines outside man made environments. It's all fractals of various sorts, and we are slowly waking up to that. Jet engines used to be all straight lines. But the latest turbofans use an essentially fractal pattern to their fan structure and work far more efficiently that turbojets that are just straight lines.

For the record I have never used hallucinogens. Narcotics seem to have little effect on me. Even massive doses of painkillers used during root canals haven't affected me very much at all. Also I am not a hippie of any sort. My father was, I would describe my politics as former militant socialist, turned hardcore right winger turned Anarcho-capitalist.

If you have any interest in understanding the underlying nature of reality I suggest you pick up this book and read it as soon as sandwichly possible. That's a reference to the we hate movies podcast, meaning within the time it takes to eat a sandwich. Don't go too fast, think it all over.

RADICAL! Martin does it AGAIN... this time sharing his personal story of Awakening and transformation with us all. To date. . . The best book I have ever read. (By this Author OR any other...) Yes. This book (and all that lies within) will definitely challenge you, shake you, break you, wake you and just perhaps... will help you to shatter everything you think you know about the true nature of Reality. ...Pick up this book and read on... (If YOU DARE!)

I'll just go ahead and put it out there... I'm a big fan and I LOVE entheogens, (especially 5MeO-DMT) have done "The Work" thereby accepting my own Divinity as a result of "my choice" ...deep processing, surrender, opening and releasing of energetic blocks which no longer served me, largely through the sessions with the medicine (namely the first two) and inspiring creations by the author. (Music, podcasts, books and art)

This book is absolutely terrible. I was looking for comebacks, but all I found is "Why people insult you." Don't listen too any other reviews. They are BS. BTW the sample is exactly like the rest of the book.

About the Author
Erich Fromm (1900-1980) was a German social psychologist, psychoanalyst, humanistic philosopher, and democratic socialist. Classic Fromm

Published recently in a series of books based on various lectures (circa 1950's), this book is a wonderful challenge to the growing orthodoxy of psychiatric imperialism. Explaining why the scientific method is limited in ever fully understanding the human experience, Fromm appeals to his particular brand of humanistic/existential psychology as an alternative. While not as systematic or exhaustive of Fromm's other volumes (To Have or To Be? (Continuum Impacts);The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness; You Shall Be As Gods: A Radical Interpretation of the Old Testament and Its Tradition; etc), it is a succint presentation of his thought and from the perspective of our life and culture today, this lecture seems to have been an unheard prophetic voice.

"Beyond Freud" is now published for the first time; it's subdivided into "Man's Impulse Structure and Its Relation to Culture" plus three lectures: "Psychic Needs and Society", "Dealing with the Unconsciousness", and "The Relevance of Psychoanalysis for the Future". The scientific underpinnings of "Beyond Freud" thoughtfully explore the social unconsciousness of the individual, as well as the unconscious driving forces of social entities. "The Pathology of Normalcy" is also published for the first time; it examines the very definitions of mental health and mental sickness in modern-day society. Sections consisting of lectures about frame of reference when evaluating mental health, the intersection of alienation and mental health issues, and even the interplay between psychological and economic theory, as he deconstructs the weaknesses of Marxist Socialism and explains why it has been largely rejected in modern America. All four volumes are timely, directly relevant to modern psychological and social issues, and bring absolutely invaluable humanist messages to temper psychology's scientific and healing discipline. Highly recommended, especially for college library collections.

Fernando Robles is Professor of International Business and International Relations at the School of Business of the George Washington University, USA. His research and consulting experience is in global marketing and regional marketing strategies. He has published widely in academic and professional journals, and serves on the editorial boards of Academia, Management Decision and the Journal of Asia Pacific Business.

Nila Wiese is a Professor of International Business and Marketing and the Director of the Business Leadership Program at the University of Puget Sound, USA. She teaches and researches in the areas of international business strategy and economic development in Latin America and emerging economies. She has extensive experience consulting and training with small businesses in Central America.

Gladys Torres-Baumgarten is Associate Professor of International Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey, USA.
