For centuries, explorers who headed to Patagonia returned with tales of the giants they had met who lived there, some nine feet tall. Then there was Gregor MacGregor, a Scottish explorer who returned to London to sell shares in a land he had discovered in South America. He had been appointed the Cazique of Poyais, and bestowed with many honours by the local king of this unspoiled paradise. Now he was offering others the chance to join him and make their fortune there, too - once they had paid him a bargain fee for their passage...The Phantom Atlas is a beautifully produced volume, packed with stunning maps and drawings of places and people that never existed. About the Author
Michael Pendergast is a retired Strategic Air Command B-52 aircraft commander and acquisition engineer, as well as a former instructor of philosophy at a well-known Mid-western Christian university where he taught logic, introductory philosophy, and ethics. A philosopher and theologian, Major Pendergast holds degrees in engineering physics (including a minor in astrophysics), administration, international affairs, and philosophy. Widowed with three grown children, and now remarried, this graduate of Cornell University, Siena College, and the USAF Air War University lives and works in northern Maine, where he devotes much of his time to research and writing. The method to his research and writing is to establish a gestalt to understand the whole rather than merely the parts (as an example, it helps to know that science, philosophy, and theology are ultimately one and not distinctly separate disciplines). His ultimate goal is to find the real meaning of human life. His prior works include academic texts in philosophy (The Philosophy of the Human Soul and The Philosophy of Love), theology (Lord of the Impossible), and adventure/mystery (Assault on America), as well as science fiction and fantasy (The Beginning of the Beginning).

I love vi! viola SummerHill is awesome. She's sweet and kind and a great mom in an impossible situation. After finding out her husband was cheating on her she showed him the door and got a divorce.

Her sisters thought that would help Vi find happiness but Vi feels like she doesn't know what makes her happy.

In this book you see her reach for her happiness even risking her home to Chase a dream to create a good life for her and her daughter.

Kate Perry has this unparalleled way of giving you two beautiful love stories and in this particular book she does not disappoint. Only instead of two in my heart I think you get three. Not the traditional of boy meets girl but that of mother and daughter finding even ground and learning to communicate, how to lean on one another and how to love one another unconditionally instead of fighting each other.

Kate Perry you are amazingly talented!

Couldn't put it down.

Viola and Finn. Perfect. The Summerhill series is entrancing. Strong women characters struggling with change and personal growth in a quirky family. The male characters are sexy smart men with some conflict in their lives. This makes a perfect combination for great stories as two seeming different "storm" converge.

Viola and Finn break out of the box. Viola is getting over a bad marriage. Then there is Chole growing up! Any more would just be spoilers.

I pre-ordered this book and received it on Monday. I really did start reading it and did't stop until I finished. Glad I got up so early or I would have been late for work.

Oh, Kate Perry definitely know how to write such amazing romance novels. How Sweet It Is definitely does not disappoint in the Summerhill series. We finally get to read about Viola romance story. I definitely enjoy Viola character very much because she is determine to find herself no matter what. Viola has ditched her loser husband when she discovered that he was cheating on her. Viola does not know what to do in her life that she begin to wonder what best fit her personality as a career. And she discover she has a creative eye in the art work galley. She begin a wonderful journey in stocking her new galley that she come across a gorgeous yet stubborn men who has a incredible skill in creating wonderful paint work. Their love journey is a cute yet passionate because they fuel in each other fire. I am so happy for Viola because she finally found herself and a new hot men! A great book in the Summerhill series. It will not disappoint no one. Five Stars!
P.S. Readers will also get to read about Viola daughter who would find herself a wonderful and amazing guy!

New hobbies

When I have some time I like to use it to do something tangible. But since I’ve had a lot of time on my hands I ran out of things I can do on my own. So I’ve been looking for new things to put my free time to good use. Crocheting is great because at the end you have some things you can actually use and they make great gifts. It is no easy thing to do, trust me, but with a lot of patience and practice you are sure to grasp it. The author covers everything in these books, from the needles to how you handle the needles, to different patterns you can use to make clothing items. I think this is going to be a new hobby.

It's perhaps not for the beginners only, the experienced also can take help from it. This book mostly contains lines of handy instructions for persons who already know something about crochet and knit as well. This books provided guidelines for different kinds of knit stuff.
I found really decent designs in this book. I would certainly choose different tinted tales for several of the patterns presented by the author. I am a like a student in this section so I am not certain how informal these will be for me. But one thing is for sure I will get better after some practice.

great asset for jazz bassists

I studied with Putter over 25 years ago at the Musician's Institute. He was hands down the best bass instructor there on a variety of levels with his incredible knowledge of not only jazz standards, but composition, music theory and jazz bass technique. I was very excited to find his book; I am returning to playing and the need to refresh a lot of basics after pursuing a career as a luthier, and quite frankly, most bass books I perused do not even being to compare. This book provides a firm foundation, and it explains in clear ways how to proceed through Putter's studies...if you do the work, you will definitely improve. The CD also gives one a boost and helpful ear training to boot. Thank you, Putter, for laying all this out in such a user friendly format. Bravo!
